Pfizer, the pharmaceutical giant (), recently announced an expansion of its antiretroviral treatment (AART) portfolio to reach £5bn of NHS expenditure. This will enable specialist care teams to target high risk groups for treatment, with the aim of improving adherence to AART treatment plans.
“Our new portfolio aims to enable specialist care teams targeting high risk groups for AART to focus on,” commented medicinal chemist and Pfizer executive vice-adiq management officer Dr Andrew McCullough. “We are delighted to have started this new collaboration. AART is currently supported by the European Commission, the United Kingdom Pharmaceutical Council and the United States Government through a partnership agreement with Eli-ondon.”

A new portfolio of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines will be rolled out across over-the-counter medicines and OTC products in the UK in the next four months. It will include over-the-counter versions of several popular antihypertensive medicines and topical creams.
